- 1 GHz or above processor; dual core preferred;
- Ethernet or WiFi network capability;
- and Bluetooth® if using Bluetooth GPS.
Map Translator/Publisher Computers
This can be installed on the mapping machine or on the Partner Hub. Partner map translator/publisher users generally have a more powerful than average system for translation.
- A minimum of 10 GB free hard disk space. More space is useful, especially in conjunction with aerial photography
- 2 GB of RAM minimum
- 2 GHz or above processor, multi-core strongly encouraged
- Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7, Pro/Business version or better
The Partner Hub Computer
Partner recommends a server-class machine less than three years old. This is highly dependent on the number of users.

- A high reliability system, with a backup from which the administrator(s) knows how to restore. Testing backups to make sure one can restore from them is recommended.
- At least 30G B of free space, i.e. around 40 GB including the Operating System (at least 50 GB of free hard drive space if also running the Map Translator/Publisher on this system).
- Dual core/dual processors, 2 GHz or better.
- 2 GB RAM minimum.
- Windows Server 2003/2008/2008 64-bit or Windows XP & 7 for small installations/small number of users.
GPS Receivers
- Bluetooth, USB or Serial GPS receivers which are capable of outputting NMEA® data, or;
- Bluetooth, USB or Serial Trimble® GPS devices which use the TSIP protocol.
